Audience of ONE - My Savior Jesus Christ

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me."
-Psalm 23:4

It’s been a year

Grandpa,

I miss you so much. I can’t believe it has been a year. As much as I miss you I know you are in such a better place. I know there is no more pain and you are able to do everything you once loved to do. You are such an amazing man of Faith. Through all you had to go through, you not once asked God why you. You knew His plans for you were good despite not being able to see the good at the time. You are the one who showed me what it really means to live your life for God! Your favorite Psalm is such a daily inspiration to me.

1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

-Psalm 23

Love you Grandpa!

This is my latest prayer letter (March 2011). I am a missionary working with Athletes in Action in Spain, using the platform of sport to impact the world for Christ! Reflect the Glory to God!
It is a little difficult to read so I have put the text below to make it a bit easier!

Praises & Prayer Requests
· Pray for the Lord to raise up supporters for the upcoming Turkey Tour I will be going on
· Pray for increased communication between the staff of AIA in Spain
· Pray for the hearts of the students we have been able to connect with, especially Marili
· Praise God He is holy and just and deeply desires to have a personal relationship with each of us

Dear Friends,
I cannot believe it is almost April! What a month! I arrived back in Spain a few weeks ago and have been slowly readjusting to life on this side of the ocean.
The night I arrived in Spain I suffered a severe hives outbreak (they believe I caught something on the plane or in an airport) and had to spend a couple hours in emergicare. The doctor gave me a cortisone shot and thankfully with many prayers and time it went away. What a crazy way to be welcomed back!
Last week a group of students from the University of Ohio, who are part of their core AIA group, came for a spring break visit to Malaga to serve us and our ministry.  We had a great time interacting with students here in Malaga and also at the University of Granada. God opened up many doors for us to share the gospel with numerous students and it was incredible to see how many expressed interest in learning more about what it means to follow Jesus and to have a personal relationship with Him! (Less than 1% of the people in Spain truly follow Jesus)
There was one girl  in particular (her name is Marili) that I interacted with that showed great interest in wanting to find the “truth” about spirituality and exploring who God is. I am planning on meeting with her sometime this week to help guide her in finding the “truth” (Jesus!) Praise God!!
I have continued to play basketball with the team I was on before I had to return to the States. We have two games left in the season and I am praying for a divine opportunity from God to share my faith with my entire team!
After prayerful consideration I have concluded that the Lord is calling me to travel to Turkey in May with the Athletes in Action Women’s Basketball Tour. During this tour our Athletes in Action team will be competing in the University Games and sharing our faith during every game at half time and through interacting with other teams who are participating in the games. This tour will cost me an extra $2,500 I had not budgeted for, so I ask that you prayerfully consider joining on as a supporter for this tour. Not only will there be many opportunities to share my faith but I will be poured into greatly by daily discipleship, AIA Principle Training, and being held accountable by teammates to play and practice for an Audience of One (My Savior Jesus Christ)!

Please let me know how I can be praying for you and your families.
God Bless!

My office for the day!

My office for the day!

Saturday, March 26th

What a week it has been. Such a roller coaster of emotions and thoughts. Thankfully today I get to set all of that aside and play for the One I live my life for - Jesus -. We have a game in Sevilla, Spain and I am greatly looking forward to it. I spend the most intimate time with God on the basketball court and it is at this time where nothing else matters except for playing for Him and reflecting the Glory to Him. I love being able to forget everything going on around me and just focus on Him and the game I love. I am so thankful He has given me the ability to play sports and to worship Him through them! Glory be to God!!

I think this is rather clever and funny!
